Our best F R E E days out

We have decided to put together a short blog post of our best free days out to share with you all. Free days out are funnily enough, our best ones. With most of them, all that is required is petrol in the car, and a picnic. Can't beat a fabulous free day out, especially with three children!

1. Bushy Park, London.

We have only recently visited here, and it has become a favourite of mine. Not to mention that you can get up close with free roaming deer, but the views are absolutely beautiful too! We went in the colder months, and even then it was a sight to be seen. Warmed up with a cup of hot chocolate, and the little ones running around was just a perfect day out to me! I can't wait to go back for picnics in the summer though!

2. Titchfield Haven , Fareham.

We visit here quite regularly as Joe's Dad lives nearby and we love this place. We especially love the beach right next to Titchfield Haven. We've been when the tides been so far out, and we've found little crabs crawling about and lots of seashells etc. It's just a really lovely little place to visit and the little ones absolutely love it!

3. New Forest.

There are some absolutely wonderful places to visit in the New Forest, and it is one of our most favourite places to go! We always go through Emery Down, and pull over as that's where we spot the most horses roaming about, and it is always so exciting getting to see one! It's also a great spot for a picnic, however Joe is far too scared to be eating his cheese sandwich next to a roaming horse! We love Barton-On-Sea, a beautiful beach, full of lots of rocks. Burley is also another favourite - we went bike riding here along some old train tracks and the views were breath taking!

4. Mercedes Benz World, Weybridge.

Free entry to get into, and walk around looking at the cars and history of Mercedes Benz. But obviously, there are activities that you can pay for, for example Little Learners - a little track for young children to drive round in, and at the end will be presented with their very own driving license! Our little ones loved this part! You can also watch the cars racing outside which is really fun, especially for those that are obsessed with cars!

5. Basing Woods, Basingstoke.

Now I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't list this. Basing Woods has a special place in my heart - its where we spent most of our days before Joe passed his driving test, before any form of transport. And we really did have the most loveliest of days, exploring the woods, in whatever weather. From when Aoife was just a newborn in her pram, to when she could run about and jump in muddy puddles. Its a family favourite. The thing I love most about Basing Woods, is that once you reach the top of the hill, its almost as if you are somewhere else completely. We've seen foxes, rabbits, deer, ducks, herons etc, and the best part is that it is literally on our door step!

6. A Local Skate Park.

This was Joe's input - his favourite days consist of finding a new skate park to ride his scooter about in.You can find your local Skate Park here. Its a great day out for the little ones, especially if you bring a picnic and find one with a nice field attached to it or nearby. We've been to ones on the sea front, one overlooking the country side, which is nice for me and the littlest one too!

We would love to hear about your best days out, as we are very keen to find new ones to try too!
